UserID: 1074 | I haven't done much modding at all... my biggest mod was the "Extreme Tank Cap Tether Removal" mod... but I think that the best mod in your situation would be a light nozzle drill to increase range? LIGHT... not too heavy, or you'll lose power. What does anyone else think?

UserID: 1 | For a Max-D 2000 I would not suggest any modifications at all. You can't upgrade a tricycle to perform like a monster truck. Any modifications you do will have a very limited performance increase. I have read of some people modifying Max-D 2000s (or perhaps it was 3000s) to have higher output with a drilled larger nozzle and a check valve freeze. A serious performance increase was noted. I believe the output was stated at 10X! It should be noted however that all of the modified guns broke shortly after the modification. The guns obviously are not designed for higher pressures.

UserID: 1 | In that case, you might want to try some nozzle drilling. Be careful to not drill too deep so that the drill bit damages things. The only thing you want to be drilled is the nozzle. ![]() A "check valve freeze" for this water gun is very different from those for the larger water guns, so I wouldn't suggest doing that if you want to gain experience.

UserID: 1400 | Don't check-valve freeze it! I tried it literally 10 minutes ago (using sellotape, just for a quick test), and the damn gun blew up without warning (ie didn't get noticeably hard to pump or anything)! Specifically, the valve and nozzle assembly blew off where it's attached to the reservoir. This attachment appears to be extremely weak. Though I suppose one could glue it. I'll need to, since it now blows in the same fashion with the check-valve as normal. |
