The wii is as good as a PS2. It does not deserve to be called "Next Gen"

Playstation Home is due to release either in June or Fall this year and will complete the list of the PS3's Features.

The 360 has been out longer so ofcourse it has more games. IT HAD MORE TIME TO ACCUMULATE THEM. Just think about it a bit more.

You havent made any points, just sarcastic remarks and declared that you won. To clarify what i said, the wii is designed for mostly non competitive gamers, with the exception of smash bros. The 360 is the console for actual competitive gamers. Obviously theres halo, but even with games like cod4 for both consoles the 360 wins because most of the good players play on the 360. last time i checked professional gaming leagues play console shooters on the 360, not the ps3.

Who cares? I'd rather have fun on whatever console there is then worry about what so-called "pros," who are stereotypically just dorks living in their parents' basements, do.

Honestly there are merits for all the consoles. If you only play Call of Duty 4, does it matter whether you're using the 360 or the PS3? No, not really. At the moment neither console has been technically defeated, and in the future that won't happen either since all all the current game engines (read: Unreal Engine 3, CryEngine 2, id Tech 5) are multiplatform. The only major single-platform games that I can think of are Metal Gear Solid 4, BioShock (which is about to be ported, anyway), and that's about it. The communites both have more than enough competitive players to play in a single round at any given time, so there's no shortage there. And the indie scene is fairly balanced too.

The Wii doesn't cater as much to hardcore gamers. If you don't like it, then don't use it.

Well the big difference is halo. Before halo no one really played competitive fps on consoles, so the majority of people who play console fps are going to get an xbox for halo. While there are certainly enough players online to fill a server for the ps3 fps games i dont think you can find the local competitive groups like you can with the 360. At the end of the day though most serious gamers dont even use consoles.
