Default Mountain biking/other biking

Does anyone else here bike at all? I mean any type of biking, BMX, dirt jumping, downhill, mountain, or road? I bought myself a Kona Cinder Cone in March and I've been out almost every single day with it this summer so far, I love it I also bought some gear to go with the bike (gloves, hydration pack, tire patch kit, new tubes, helmet, and shorts/jersey)

I bike sometimes, but not really enough at all. Mainly on roads, or on light trails between roads, but never off-road. I'm just terrible at it, plus I'd rather go fast and I'd rather go somewhere.

I'll probably do more biking next summer or in college. It's actually quite a busy time for me right now...I'm juggling various activities.

I bought a Norco Rival in march 2005 and I've always loved it ever since, as I'm biking fairly often in the summer. There are nice off-road trails around where I live. It's also my official transport for water wars .

I have a road bike, a lower-end Scott, but it's still very light [can transport it with one hand] and very fast [can exceed 40 MPH]. I do middle road distances, 40-60 mile trips, short enough to ride back from and not be totally spent. Lately, I've become more aggressive in destination choice. On my most recent ride, I managed to cross the Hudson and entered Connecticut up to Stamford.

Later in the Summer, I may be attempting a Ridgewood to Duxbury trip, more than 300 miles of backroads.
