UserID: 75 | Kind of common sense. Launchers, especially long ones, are very weak near the valve. The launcher in the article broke by falling, hence why there's a new, unpainted fitting in the middle.

UserID: 1033 | Yes, well, that's all well and good, except that I am somewhat at a loss for common sense. That's also why, for some reason, I epoxied the metal ball valve onto the PC. I had to use a chisel so I could reuse the valve. Also, this is kind of off-topic, but, what do I do when a glued-on fitting leaks? Do I just epoxy the seam?

UserID: 576 | You could try epoxy. And recently somebody (Waterzooka maybe?) posted a method to create negative pressure to suck in the epoxy. And I believe Ben and Drenchenator have posted guides on how to do fillet welding. Just do a search and the results should turn up. ![]() I've converted the title of the thread from ALL-CAPS.
