Default Question about CPS 3200

Hi,

Does the CPS 3200 has a good range?.
In the review at
http://www.isoaker.com/Armoury/soake...akerID=cps3200
There are ranges of 4-5 m which seems not very far.
The reviews are positive about its power (even that it is more powerfull than the CPS 3000)
I'm interested in this gun because of its capacity, PC size en Nozzles (5x,10x,20x)
So i'm wondering if the ranges of 4-5 m are correct

And what will be a fair price for it (when i find one that is)

I have personally found iSoaker's ranges to be inaccurate, or at least, not matching at all to mine. For example, the review on guns like the CPS 1000 got 12m, 1200 8m, and 2700 at 10m. My 1200 shoots nearly the same as my 1000, and my 2700 outranges both by about a meter or so.

The CPS 3200, is, I'd imagine, an excellent gun. The backpack gives you great capacity and it seems to have good output and PC size. Just go with it if you can get one that you're willing to pay for, however, they commonly go for the higher prices on eBay. (though usually not as high as guns like the Monster XL or CPS 2000) The price you could get one at varies so much by season and by chance though. This just happens to be the season they're expensive. (maybe around $70)

From experience, I've found that trying to go for a specific gun usually isn't a good idea, it's often hard to find specifics, depending on what you're looking for.

A long time ago, it was suggested that iSoaker calculates ranges mathematically. I don't know what method he uses, but I do know that nearly every range posted there is lower than what you'll find by tape measure.

Range of the 3200 is around 42ft on the 5x nozzle. The 10x also should cross 40ft.

Unfortunately, backpack guns are hot on Ebay right now. Just about everything else is cool [2000s, 2500s, MXLs going for half their potential value], but 3000s and 3200s are up in the $90s and $100s+. You should monitor the market for at least a week to see if any non-popular 3200 auctions exist or if one has an odd ending time. Sometimes, people just don't bid, even if a gun is in very good condition. Likewise, not many competing bidders will get up at 3 in the morning to make sure their bid stays on top for a close.

Those ranges of 4-5 m were level. In the next column over, you can see ranges of 8-10 m when angled. Plus, many of the ranges might be a little underestimated (probably because of where you measure - last puddle, last spray, or somewhere in between - it's all very subjective). And the ranges will definitely vary from gun to gun.

So overall, I wouldn't worry about the range.

Well the guns i would like to have are the following:

CPS2000: too expensive on Ebay (i saw MK1 go for $152,50 today ) for me $90-$100 is absolute maximum for this.

MonsterX: is rarely sold on ebay although the price around $100 which was the last time i saw one seems fair (unfortunately this one didn't ship to Europe)

And of course the CPS3000/3200: in the reviews they write that the 3200 is an improvement on the 3000 so i rather have a 3200 then and $70-$90 is ok if it's complete and in good shape.

But i guess i have to be patient and wait for a good deal.
Meanwhile i can collect the parts i need for a homemade (CPH)

CPS 2000s are actually fairly cheap at the moment. $152.50? They go up to $300 at the height of the selling season!

$100 is too much for a Monster X. They pop up infrequently, but still aren't worth that much.

3000s and 3200s are red hot right now. You'd be lucky to get one under $100.

well, i tried to bid(approx $100) on a cps3200 on ebay but even that wasn't enough to win the auction so i decided to let it go.

i'll just wait for a better deal.

I once won 2 mint condition 3200s for $42 total, and right about this time of year at that. There's the bar, I've set it pretty low.

$100 is ridiculous. When in doubt, always wait for a better deal or you may be kicking yourself as soon as the next day.

I had 3 CPS 3200s, and none went over the 40 feet mark with the 20x nozzle going fairly lower than that. I don't know why the backpack CPS sell so high. I guess some seller exaturated their descriptions and gullable bidders started to go on a bidding frenzy. Either that or north american kids have began to be so fat that they don't want to head to the water facet now and then and think a backpack solves it all.

Thanks for the offer Cobralex,
i've thought about it for a few days but i think i prefer a CPS3200(it seems to be more durable and according to the reviews it's a little more powerfull),

Although i'm interested for a 3000 i'll wait a little longer.
There are 3 guns i'm willing to pay a high price for (the 3200 and the ones mentioned earlier)

There are a few others i'm interested in but the current prices (and high shipping costs between $50-65) are more than i want to spend on them, for these guns i'll have to wait for a seller nearby.

Default okay

Take your time on this purchase as it is an expensive one. I regret to inform you that i just sold the 3000... to Duxburian. If you are interested in a purchase of that, i'd ask him when/if you decide to.
