UserID: 1033 | Oh. Dang. I'm trying it anyway, though . Okay, so, anyway, I was experimenting with my douchenator, for which I mistakenly used a 3/4" valve instead of 1 1/4". I'm trying to get a PS3 right now, so it'll be at least a couple of weeks before I can afford the larger valve. Under normal loading conditions, using a tennis ball as wadding, it shot as far as a normal water gun. But, when I thought to use water as wadding, it shot, like, a hundred yards! Imagine what this could do for water balloon launchers constructed in a more competent manner! Reeen is surely proud.

UserID: 75 | Be very careful when using water in a launcher barrel. Using too much will create something similar to the water-hammer effect, causing the whole barrel to rocket off. "Too much" is not even that much water to begin with. That's why I suggest using pringles cans or tennis ball cans for 3" pipe, and paper for 2". Pringles cans are especially effective for 3" launchers, the seal is unmatched by anything else so far, and the range is incredible [100 yards is on the low end for a launcher really].

UserID: 1033 | One could use a barrel completely glued onto the PC, if one was afraid of the barrel coming off. I used duct tape to hold the barrel on, and that worked fine.

UserID: 1033 | Oh. Oh well. But, anyway, here's my latest idea. It might not be very original, but here goes: a sniper barrel for a douchenator. It would be 2" wide and longer than the regular barrel. It would probably shoot much farther. Keep in mind a normal barrel shoots a quarter mile.

UserID: 75 | Range depends on length of the barrel, the firing angle, the wind, the quality of the sabot, the pressure, size of the valve, and what it is you are shooting. I don't think the diameter of the barrel matters all that much. 4" barrel = big water balloons 3" barrel = normal water balloons 2" barrel = small water balloons 1 1/2" barrel = deadly weapon 3/4" barrel = deadly weapon 1/2" barrel = deadly weapon
