I'm interested in home mades because the cps series are no longer sold.
Unfortunately there are almost no waterwars in europe (except the uk)

My small arsenal only contains a cps2100 and cps4100. (but always looking for more)

Too bad there aren't too many water wars in mainland Europe. At least it might be feasible to have water wars just with your local friends - that's what we have to do here in the US anyway.

Your arsenal isn't too shabby - it's better than mine

. If you're interested in homemade water guns, I would first look to see what type of materials you have access to. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is freely available in the US, but not in UK; the British have to resort to more expensive and heavier copper (it's stronger, though). What's available to you?

I like to create a cps based home made, but because it's my first time maybe should try another type first.

Actually, CPS water guns are not any harder to build than any other type. The main problem is getting access to the rubber tubing. I don't know where you would find the rubber tubing in the UK.

What kind of rubber tubing do i need for a cps watergun?

The rubber tubing is called "latex rubber tubing" or "surgical tubing" or some variation along those lines. The tubing needed has to have a "wall" about 1/4 inch thick. The smaller stuff used for exercising does not work. Take a look around. They should have it available locally. Also, try looking on the internet. Several companies offer latex rubber tubing and I know a few ship worldwide.

Just try a Google search for "latex rubber tubing." I know Ben has at least considered Primeline Industries in the past, and if no deals fell through, it's probably due to the required bulk shipments. Perhaps other manufacturers/retailers will sell the tubing in quantities smaller than 100 feet. You should only need perhaps five feet in the lifetime of the water gun.

The latex rubber tubing is hard to find in the Netherlands.
But I can order it from Mcmaster Carr who ships worldwide.

The one with a 1/4" wall has an inside diameter of 1" will this be ok?
What will happen if you use a thicker or thinner wall?
And is this also suitable for repairing a bladder from a cylindrical PC of an existing CPS?

A thicker wall will provide more pressure and range. So you can layer that large tube over a smaller tube so that the rubber is even thicker. And yes, you may use this tubing for CPS bladder repairs.

However, you don't want to use tubing that is too small, or you will be severely restricting the flow of water. Consider tubing with an inner diameter of at least 3/8" or 1/2".

I didn't had the time to make my own CPH yet but I must say that my arsenal had quite an improvement over the last year (it just takes a lot of time, patience and luck)
