Think the the CPS 2000 is the most powerful portable water weapon? No other water weapon reached the 55 feet limit? Think again. The cps 2000 is getting crushed by the 300-500 feet shooting Baloon Bazooka.

Just imagine the mods you can do with it. Unfortunatly it's not meant to be shot at people. But Mods might change that.

Whoa, nice! I wonder how accurate and loud they are? They sounds really good. I watched the video and it got a nice good full spread of water balloons across the field. Really nice.

The CPS 2000 is a good soaker. But only, because we(including me) have a low standard in expectation in Soakers. From a bigger picture point of view, after 15 years since Super Soakers are out, Soakers should shoot 70-100 feet by now.

I agree. Hasbro shouldn't have to lie to make it see mthat their soakers shoot farther! My CPS 1000 shoots farther than any one of the Max-D guns. And the commercial said the Max-D 6000 was the "farthest blasting Super Soaker ever". What a lie.
However, this summer I studied range. I now know some important factors in creating range. No, stream cohesion is not even very important! Your stream breaks up because of drag, not lack of cohesion. Read the article titled "Range" when the new site design is here if you want to know more.

Actually, I seriously think the 2500 is the best water gun of all time. Just about everyone who has one loves it to death! Maybe it's because it's the most balanced one around, or just simply the best.

I think the popularity of the CPS 2500 is something psycological. it's the closest soaker to the popular and sometimes overhyped CPS 2000. And that is why people want the next best thing. I also have a CPS 2500, but it's not the best for me. I like it because of it's power, but I still prefer the MXL 2002 version. And if next year, they bring out a soaker with larger nozzles and longer shot time, this soaker then will be my first choice.

you always prefer the mxl. and no, next year probably won't bring all TOO many cps guns. look at the "2004" thread for more info.

Indeed I do. And I looked over the 2004 thread. There is nothing really concrete about what will come. Also any information in this or any other site on the net is only speculations and rumors. We don't know for sure what will be sold 2004 untill hasbro officially anounces it's new products. As of now, it can go either way. We might get just mediocre Max-Ds and XPs, or a new backpack Monster. it's still all open.

A backpack Monster wouldn't be so bad I think. However, I'm going totally homemade, in fact I'm should get back to working on a "secret project"...

I finally got a brand new CPS 3200 this week. I would say it's probably the best soaker to use. If I could only use 1 soaker in battle, I prefer this one even more now than the MXL 2002. I still prefer my 2 MXLs and 1 CPS 2100 in a full scale combat, but If I would only be alowed to use 1 soaker, and not a whole equipmet arsenal, it's the CPS 3200. Almsot as powerful as the CPS 2500 and has more seconds shot time on the 20X than any other CPS soaker. Not to mention the 8 litres. If it wouldn't have the ugly design, that would be perfect.

The point of this post is, that a Monster Backpack would be the only thing to raise the bar. Soaking wise, The MXL and CPS 3200 is the best of the best in the Super Soaker Universe. A soaker combining both designs, the cool looks and dual nozzles of the MXL and the backpack and power of CPS 3200, would be excellent for high soakage.
In either case, we have to wait what 2004 will bring on Soakers.

Yeah, I would really like a backpack Monster, even if it's range sucks. I would just mod the heck out of it to get the range back. And either way, it still would be cool. If Hasbro makes one, I would be satisfied.

Yep. If Hasbro would only bring the Backpack Monster and no other soaker, 2004 would be still a good soaker year.
