UserID: 404 | I tried the pliers method, but it doesn't work because it's glued. Any ideas? I don't want to break the pump cap, but I might have to.

UserID: 495 | Only way is hack saw. Trust me. Unless you force it, which I would not advise. |

UserID: 272 | That isn't true. I got mine off my working a crack in the glue with a really small screwdriver and slowly worked the crack until I could get a bigger screwdriver in. Then I just applied pressure and it popped off.

UserID: 75 | Depends on how much glue was used-some have a lot of glue and can't be pried off. On some guns the pump cap has no function, so if it is easier to saw and that won't do any harm to the pump, then saw. If the cap is on a gun that needs it to hold the pump from falling out, don't saw, try to pry. I haven't got a FF handy to look at, so use your own judgement.

UserID: 495 | The FF doesn't need the cap because there is a second cap-type thing inside it. My FF's cap seemed to be fused together, and I tried extensively to pry it off. Then again, your FF had different internals so it may be a different mark. |

UserID: 272 | On mine the pump cap is needed. If I take it off the pump can come out. I think there is different marks of the Flash Flood. Mine is different from Hunter's Flash Flood also.

UserID: 75 | If there are 2 marks of the Flash Flood, then that would be a good thing to document, especially since it appears that one needs the cap and one doesn't.

UserID: 470 | I would always try to pry it off before sawing anything, regardless of the mark. Sawing should only be used as a last resort in my opinion. ![]()

UserID: 75 | Sawing really depends on the individual's opinions. I would usually saw, since I care totally about preformance; looks are a distant second. Sawing off a pump cap is not that big of a deal. Again, user preference prevails here.

UserID: 495 | It's always easier to just pry it off (assuming it uses a pretty normal amount of glue). On my FF, If i had tried to pry it off, I would have just chipped off the plastic in spots! |

UserID: 345 | I just brute forced mine, the cap is intact, but if you look where it broke you can tell I just ripped it apart. It holds together fine, so I like my method. |
