Yeah, I supposed, but with twice as many pumps as normal, which could prove a bit fatal in battle. The best way would be to have a single pump and two chambers connected as you said, Spinner, but then if you can have a switch so that you can decide whether to pump one chamber, or the other, or both. A bit difficult to do though.

EDIT - 200th Post!

You could use a 3 way ball valve to switch between chambers.

Congrats on the 200th post.

You have to use one-way valves anyway in a homemade to stop water going back into the pump. This way you just need a Y piece and two valves like Spinner said.

[at]CG : Cheers mate. Yeah, I thought that. Wouldn't be very simple to do, though.

[at]Force : Yeah, kinda like a check valve. But although each of these ideas are OK and not too hard on their own, combining them will end up tricky...

We have mentioned two CPS chambers, a WBL added like an M203 to the underside, a 3-way ball valve to select chambers, and it still might equalize itself and not work. Not easy.

the idea about the pump with a twice as large diameter, you're correct. A pump 10" long and 2" in diameter will pump the same amount of water as a 20" one thats 1" in diameter.

This is incorrect. A two inch pump holds 4 times as much water per inch than a one inch pump if you do the math (the area of a circle squares). You will need a 40 inch long 1 inch ID pump to get the same amount of water.

Although, correct me if I am wrong, does the greater the diameter of the pump = the harder it is to move?

Yes, the larger the pump diameter, the harder it is to pump. Big Bee has the equations to find how hard a pump will be, though, I'm sure they're just simple hydraulics equations.

Good point... I did know that the area of a circle squares, but I had forgotton... In that case, you would need to find a best fit between short pump strokes and pumping difficulty.

And that other thing about shooting yourself, now I finally understand what everyone was talking about all these years. And that could be avoided because even though, yes, it's been said a million times, these were made for little kids and they were made to tuck them under your arm. They won't work for bigger guys like us because they are so darn small, it would be really difficult to tuck it under your arm and aim and shoot and pump all at the same time.
