A long while back Doom said "we may even reach 20000 posts by the end of this year, or maybe that's just what I want." We actually could make that old quote a reality. It's almost mid-November and we have close to 18500 posts. Do you think we will be able to hit 20000 by December 31?

Sure, why not. I bet we can easily hit over 20,000.

Depends. If people keep posting like they have, we might. I have a feeling that people might start tuning out of the soaker boards once the holidays come around.

Keep being active and we'll beat 20000 easily. That's the problem, you've got to stay active. And I don't want 20000 short posts, I want 20000 productive posts. I'd rather have 10000 productive posts than 100000 short posts.

Just remember, keep being active and we can do it.

{edit} Just did the math. We'd have to get about 1600 in about 50 days. That's 32 a day. I don't think that'll happen, though, this October was twice as popular as October 2003. We will get 20000 posts however, just more likely next year.

For those who'd like to see a closer goal, we're coming up on WaterWar.net's 18753 posts. That (likely) is the highest post count of any individual water gun forum. We'll beat that in the upcoming days, though we did it in about twice the time.

We are almost at 19000 posts! We really could get 20K by the end of this year! The mathmatically impossible is looking very much possible right now. B)

We're 9 away from 19000. I think 1000 posts in the month of December will be hard. We would need about 250 posts a week. :blink:
