I've decided to make a soaker website. I have yet to decide on what it will contain, if it will have forums, and what I will call it. I need a name for it. Can somebody post some possibilities?

The name could be better if it is based on our content. Maybe you should make the site first?

Well I need to make a logo and register a subdomain, so I need a name (that's just how I like to do it--I've always done it that way)

Some name involving "Monsoon" would be applicable and sound good.

It would, now wouldn't it? What about http://monsoonstorm.cjb.net/?

EDIT-don't click the link, it's not my website. It's an ad for some kind of software, which I woulnd't reccommend downloading.

Is it affiliated with Storm (the member)? If not, I'd advise against using "Storm" in it...maybe monsoonsoak or something like that?

Hmm, I'm not satisfied with that effort of mine...I'll have to think about it.

I don't know, that sounds pretty good. I'll be using a custom and basic layout for the front page, but I'm not sure about a news system. Is there a free one?

How about just use your own signature as your site logo. If I made a soaker site I'd probably just use my signature unless I came up with a better idea.

I registered the subdomain and made a logo. It looks pretty good so far.

MonsoonSoak <-----Click the link to see it.

Originally, the news system was a marquee, but since it only works with IE, I changed it back to a boring normal text system.

EDIT-how do you make a custom symbol in the address bar?

You have to make a file called favicon.ico . Just Google it for all the info you need.

Ok thanks, I'm trying to make my site look as unique as possible. It's called MonsoonSoak, but I'm trying to figure out what I will be doing content-wise.

EDIT-I'll have a page with archived images and articles I have submitted to site like SSC and SoakerSagas. The rest of it will be homemades I've discovered myself and pictures of my arsenal of soakers. Another page will be links to sites like iSoaker and SSC and SoakerSagas. When it's done I'll add it to the SSC webring. If it gets big enough, I'll make forums.........not right now though, but I'll reserve the name "monsoonsoak" at the invisionfree site, just in case.

Monsoon soak really sounds redundant. I'd change the name to just "Monsoon."
