UserID: 244 | I'm sorry that this is a-bit off topic. But this contest sounds seriously cool. a spy like water fight over a prolonged period of time. It sounds really fun, a pity I Don't live in canada or even near there(other side of the globe) If I managed to enter I would probably use 3 guns: Storm300, (Packs a punch for a gun its size, 17pumps worth of water with a stream more like a xp220) I would use this when moving from office to car or in generally indoor places<put 2 in your pockets> Super-Charger500(Cps technology in an XP size) I would use this if I was in an outdoor setting like the park or walking through a path to buy milk<put it in a backpack that can be opened quicly, computer bags with seperate compartments are good> CPS 2100 (reasonable amount of pumps, while shorter allowing for more manuverability and faster turning) In final duel setting<carry it with SC500 for backup> Of course from the way the weaponry in the general area sounds, you wouldnt be allowed to use these sort of guns for fear of "unfairness" PS: have u tried a canadian tire? there have been reports of people finding CPS guns there. (ask the counter if they are nowhere in sight)

UserID: 244 | no, from the sound of the webbie, it says that to kill someone you have to shoot them with a water gun. OHKO rules seem to apply.

UserID: 1 | Yeah, it seems like a giant 1HK tournament. Shironinja, what's your progress so far? Have you finished it yet?

UserID: 131 | Thats a really good idea. I wish someone would do that around here. It would be tons of fun. I wonder why no one thought of it before. Its like hitman, uh kind of.

UserID: 296 | You people should run your own Street Wars tournies in your various cities next summer! Email the webmaster of streetwars.ca and ask for more info on how to organize: yutai[at]streetwars.ca I think there is an amazing market for this ... over 100 people were pulled together just from friends of friends, etc. With a bit of marketing on the net I bet similar tournaments could be organized easily. It -has- been a really fun time and I have "lived in fear". Due to some of the final 7 being busy on Saturday we have to wait until Tuesday at 6:30 PM. I'll update with what happens. If you want to read how the rest of my time went I wrote up some stories / blog. Visit here ... and scroll down until you get to "I am the Alien (Chapter One)". The story is in Five chapters so far: http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread...&threadid=15347 Also note I did make a sling for usage with water balloons. It's pretty amusing and more accurate than I thought it would be. |

UserID: 296 | OK ... a bad ending in my opinion... I didn't like how the organizor set it up and I would have done things VERY diffferently. Alright ... so there were 7 of us in the final thing. Each of us are at different locations around downtown -- at 6:40 we've got our instructions to run to a central location and look for a "big orange ball". Upon grabbing the orange ball we are to take it to a later-named destination. Shoot a person holding the orange ball and they are out. So ... my cardio is good 'cause I'm in kickboxing. I run to the six blocks to the location but someone else has already grabbed the ball by what I'm told is a minute lead. Fine ... I start heading the most obvious way and run the 8 blocks to destination and am rewarded with NOTHING. Though I was the second to get there the guy simply ran faster and was there already! Not even a shot was fired by anyone. Lame! At the very LEAST the organizor could have used a 20-pound weight to slow down the guy and give everyone who arrived later a chance. |

UserID: 1 | Yeah, that's awfully anti-climactic. I think I'll email Yutai after I finish our big site update... don't want to show him the site now because he might think it's all we have.

UserID: 296 | First prize was $500 ... person with most kills gets to drink for free at a party later. Each of us chipped in $12 prior to game start. For that we got the rules and laminated cards with your target's picture, home/work address, and contact info. |
