Err.. I think that when they said "[The Max-D 2000] out-ranges its predecessors with ease," they meant guns like the XP-220, -20, -35, and SS 30. Not predecessors as in CPS 1500.
Are you sure of that? hasbro never released info that the max-d guns were predacessor to anything.

I used my brain. That's how I'm sure. Any idiot would know a pistol won't outrange a big cannon like a 1500.

It's implicit, they're not going to explain or actually say anything.

I've personally never seen any info about the guns being in lines. To me, and everyone, it just seems obvious. Although... where did the Max-D 5000 come from?

My main view on this, which I seemed to have forgotten to put in on my previous post...
Is that the only reason, IMHO, for these blatantly incorrect ratings on soaker range, is so that nobody who actually uses that site as A REAL RESOURCE, doesn't spend all their time and money on old CPS cannons that Hasbro won't profit from. Instead, it basically says 'Go out and buy our Max-Ds! They're the best soaker there is! If you ignore actual range, power, capacity... Basically everything is against the Max-Ds when it comes to fighting a CPS, except perhaps manouvrability (sp? - female dog of a word to spell...).

Basically, as said by Jade, they're only in it for the money.

The reason they gave the older soakers worse ratings than the newer ones is because they want to promote what they are making now. They also are probably in denial about how they have transformed super soakers into so-so soakers.

Edit: Spelling
