I'm trying to CVC my max-d 3000 but I can't get the little ring thing that seals the casing together off. Can someone please tell me how?

Try pulling one side of the casing backwards once you take the screws out, but don't CVF it. It's just going to crack the reservoir and then you'll have a busted gun instead of a backup.

That'd be the most worthless mod I've ever heard of. You don't need to modify anything below a Max-D 6000.

I did it, and it worked. It's not completely useless, I do get a couple more feet in range. Plus I thought storm did that to his painted max-d 3000.

Its not "painted" anymore. It looks like XPBackfire-esque.
Never overpump a gun that small with a CVF. Blaze broke 2 trying to acheive CPS like power out of a MaxD 2000. Little guns have little power. Don't try to play god.

Who's? Blaze's or Storm's? Blaze's are sXPBackfire-esque and I Don't really know too much about Storm's. I assume it still works.

look at my article on opening a max-d 6000 here: http://www.isoaker.com/Info/article.cfm?ar...ternal_maxd6000
I'm guessing that all max-d's are relatively identical in case stucture, internals, etc.

No, they aren't, the MD 6000 is not PR like the rest of them.

EDIT: Ack, spelling.

Being the only Max-D with a separate PC, it is constructed rather differently in contrast to its smaller Max-D bretheren

if you have a feel for the smaller guns (e.g. the 3k) you can safely cvf. I have, and I haven't cracked the res. yet. you just have to feel when it's done. or count the number of pumps you could do max before the cvf B)

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

What do you mean by "a feel" for smaller guns?

Feel for the power I am guessing. I feel that on my APH's. I know when I should stop because pumping keeps getting harder and harder from the pressure. There is no reason you shouldn't feel that on any air pressure gun.

I don't see a problem with CVFing a small gun, I might do it to my Liquidator, but it does mean you have to be careful with pumping with some guns. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the MD3K have a hugely thick reservoir? That's not going to crack in a hurry...

F.Y.I; the MD6K and the 5K are similar in styling but the 5K is a PR whereas the 6K is a seperate-PC soaker. All the smaller Max-Ds are basically the same in styling, with the range being about a metre further for each model higher (e.g. 3K=9m, 4K=10m, 6K=12m)
