How was two 2500s worse? range, soakage, shot time, all three? Btw, what time is it where you are? For me it would seem a little late to be testing combos. Its 1/4 past midnight.
I tested that combo on February. I already sold my 4 CPS 2500s. My CPS 3200s to. The range of my CPS 3200s where about 5-7 feet less than the CPS 2500 which is not much. And there the average 20X stream of a CPS 3200 has a 3 second shot time. The CPS 2500 has only 2 seconds at the most. 2 times 20X is 40 soakage. 3 times 20X is 60 soakage. And the 16 Litres on the CPS 3200 combo should not be ignored. As cheap as it sounds, I never had problems shooting people in the face while they were refilling.

A CPS 3000 could take on 2 CPS 3200 any day.

That would depend on the game rules. But not in the STYQ games(soak till you quit). According to isoaker.com and aquanexus, The CPS 3200 has a bit more power and a better tank construction, longer hose and better hose connection. The CPS 3000 looks better, but thats about it.

A gun as small as a 21K could take on any heavy gun combo.

My two CPS 3200 did outrange my CPS 2100 model, buts perhaps thats just me. Also, moving around with heavy combos is not difficult for bigger people. Anyways, we all have different game styles. The small longer range gun that will beat a large gun will only work in a 1HK game. I don't play 1HK games, so small guns are useless to me. I only play "Soak Till you quit games", where only soakage and tank size matters. I could shoot a friend of mine with a CPS 2100, for 5 hours straight(theoreticaly, since the CPS 2100 has a small tank), and he would only give up out of boredom.

I don't play 1HK games, but if I would, I would just throw unscrewed water bottles at people. Those are more difficult to dodge.

If I had a CPS 2000/2500, I would use it for every water fight.

Jeez, my biggest gun is a MD5K 0_o

woah, woah! first off, isoaker does not say the the 3200 is more powerful, on the contrary, and I couldnt find anywhere on auanexus that the 3200 is compared to the 3000 in power. Of course, I couldnt know, since although I have tried both guns, I do not own either, so I can not compare them directly.

I meant a CPS 21000, not a stock CPS 2100. Several CPS guns can outrange a stock 2100, but only homemades and other modded guns can outrange a 21K. I play soakfests, but they get pointless very quickly. 1HK gives the opportunity to use skill, so the one with the biggest gun doesn't always win.

<EDIT>spelling error. 99.999% of the time I catch an error within 10 secs of making a post. This was that .001% of the time that I don't.

My mistake. isoaker.com and Aquanexus did inteed not mention power. But they did say:

"Overall, a definite improvement on the CPS3000, the CPS3200 is the big-tanker of the year 2000 line. "- isoaker.com

"Very Similar to its CPS 3000 Predecessor, CPS 3200 picks up where 3000 left off.. "-aquanexus

The CPS 3200 is still an improvement over the CPS 3000.

2500s are very heavy and I don't want 47 pumps for a two second shot time. I'd take my CPS 2100 or 1200 over my 2500 anyday.

It only takes 20 pumps to pressurize a 2500, not 47. And you can shoot for quite a long time if you use tap-shots instead of holding the trigger for 2 secs. I can get 40 tap shots from my 2500, and that lasted a 3 hour skirmish without a refill.

The 2500 is a awesome gun. It preforms almost as good as a 1500 and is only a bit bigger. Maybe the seconed best stock soaker in overall prerformance?

If you count the CPS 1500 and 1700 as one gun, yeah. I could see where you'd think that. Personally, I think that the Monster 01 is the second best, then the 2500, then the MX, then the 2000.

I like my 2500, for a while I was taking it to skool, and would take about 10 full 2L pop bottles, and since my high skool was somewhat close to the local middle school. We'd make muliple passes on the people walking to and from lunch. I had my 2500, a couple friends had smaller ones, I'd be driving, they'd open the big sliding door on my windstar, and.... well, let's just say the look on their face was priceless.

One reaseon to use the WBL is because you can bombard the enemy base, and it can shoot farther than a CPS 2000 or 2500.

SKG Edit: "SP" is right...

no 'e' in bombard, soaker leader.

Just out of interest, how many people have used two 1500s/1700s, or maybe one of each? If so, how does it work out?

I don't really think the 3200 is that much of an improvement over the 3000... I don't know why, but I just don't... Maybe it's because the 3000 has a nice comfy bladder backpack whereas the 3200 doesn't... I dunno.

I personally would never ever use two 2000s, two 2500s, or a 2000 and a 2500 or ANY heavy weapon with any other heavy weapon. A 1500 and an XP310 will do me fine, thanks...

I usually use a CPS 2000 and a 1500. That's pretty close to what he's recommending. The 1500 and 2500 are really about the same weight-wise, although the 2500 is a little more cumbersome. I also like the nozzle switcher better on the 1500. It won't let you waste too much water (20x is ridiculous).

That's quite a good strategy. The nozzle switch on a 1500 is very easy to use, and quick, but you're self-contradicting a little by saying that 20X is ridiculous if you use a CPS2000 with around 28X...

I only use the CPS 2000 for it's range, not for the output. It shoots further than a CPS 2500.
