UserID: 282 | Dudes, Okay guys really. Why don't you just use the CPS 2000 and 2500? They're the most powerful right? The two guns don't even weigh that much. Btw I read this: http://www.sscentral.net/blasters/wbl.php and it says something about dodging the projectile. If you can dodge a water balloon flying at -300 fps then you need to be out there in Athens running for the US Olympic track team. Just wondering guys, - Eddy |

UserID: 272 | I don't use those guns mainly because they cost a lot of money and that I don't already have them. About dodging the projectile, what, you think we are going to do, shoot the targeted people at close range? No way, that is dangerous. However at a longer range you could dodge the balloons.

UserID: 62 | I will say this for the 100th time. Certain blasters and certain combos are good for certain situations. 1 or 2 blasters will not be the "best" at any one thing, and people will argue over what is the best gun for the job. Another redundant topic. |

UserID: 97 | WBL are awesome. But they are good for only one thing. Sniping. With such a low ROF they would be usless in the common fire fight. However, the ability to pick off anenemy from 100+ yards away is very convinent(sp?). And you can carry a main weapon to defend yourself with along with a WBL. Something like a CPS 2100 or a XP-310.

UserID: 1 | The CPS 2500 and 2000 are not the best choice for everyone! They are too heavy for some, and the 2000 takes too many pumps for others. They also are rare and expensive. I have made 3 homemades, all more powerful than a CPS 2000, for less than $150. That, in my opinion, is a much better deal than any gun ever produced by a company. People will make their own decisions about what guns they want. Some like lighter guns, some like heavier. It all depends on what they want in a battle.

UserID: 272 | you see, I would find that combo effective. But a homemade like the one you are talking about is without a doubt a better choice to make.

UserID: 53 | I test tried 2 CPS 2500s as a combo. They are not as good as 2 CPS 3200s. Also the 2 second shot time is not the most impressive thing on the 20X nozzles. With a model like the CPS 2000/CPS 2500 one could also expect a bit more tank space. As for the CPS 2000, I would seriously discourage people to actually use it. It being the oldest CPS model, its functional days are limited. The only good use for a working CPS 2000 is as ebay currency. If you still want to use the CPS 2000 then its your choice, but if you hear a snap in the CPS pressure chamber, you just payed $150 for a water battle.

UserID: 272 | How was two 2500s worse? range, soakage, shot time, all three? Btw, what time is it where you are? For me it would seem a little late to be testing combos. Its 1/4 past midnight.

UserID: 281 | Both the 2000 and 2500 have very short shot times. A skilled user can dodge the fire and then, even with something like an XP 310, soak them. The best guns are the all rounders. But more importantly the gun you use should depend on what position you are.

UserID: 17 | Crashdummy, we have members from all over the world (US, Canada, UK, Australia, Singapore). When it's midnight here, it might only be noon elsewhere. I'm not 100% certain why this was placed in wars, but it definitely goes in main discussion. Moving.

I agree that a 2000/2500 combo would not be very effective. As Forceuser stated, the shot times are too short. Not only that, but there is a lot of pumping to be done, and the tanks are small. With a 3000/3200, at least you get plenty of water and I think slightly longer shot times, just not on 20x. Although I don't think you should always have a gun based on your "position." Of course I have many opinions which conflict with conventional precedents. Example: A commander should not have a light weapon, a backup weapon should be as powerful as your main weapon, an "HWO" should not walk out with dual MXL's, a soldier can have more than 1 position at the same time, etc. That wil all be incorporated into one long article, just I haven't had time to write it yet. Although I definately agree that there are better combo choices than 2000/2500, and there are also better choices thn 3200/3000.

UserID: 97 | I beleive the 2500 is a awesome gun. Almost as good as a 1500. The 2000 however would not make a good back up to it. They both require a good deal amount of pumping. However, a HWO is never by themselves, so a lighter troop could support them in battle. I find the entire idea of this stupid however, especially on my team, that rarely exeeds 5. Its better to only have one special unit, the rest able to take all positions. I personnaly do not like to carry two guns of around the same power. Unless they are something small like a XP-310's. The idea of carrying two large weapons is discusting. Of course you can pump them both, but the time spent pumping the 2nd one, you could have already been shooting the first one. And I have never been is a situation where 40X output is needed. Keep it simple. A CPS 3000 could take on 2 CPS 3200 any day.

If you have a specialized team, then you don't even need a special unit, a soldier could cover that position, too. :P I agree with Bluesmudge that you shouldn't carry two heavy weapons of the same power, except I would use CPS 21K/21K or almost any modded gun/modded gun due to the range advantage.
