I just bought a new CPS 4100, and it's a Mk2. My cousin has a CPS 4100 Mk1. I've seen reviews for Mk1 and Mk2 guns and they say the Mk1 shoots farther. Well today me and my cousin tested this theory and saw that it was faulty, my Mk2 shot about an extra 3 or 4 feet farther. Is this normal or is there something wrong with his gun? <_<

maybe the rubber bladder in his is worn out, or the tubing might be slightly clogged, or it could just be as simple as not enough pumps. not all guns are the same, it could be a production problem, a defect. we need more information, can't just tell you exactly whats wrong.

Heh, heh. Maybe you just got a soaker with a defective check valve?
(insert evil smilie)

EDIT: Were the nozzles on the same setting? That might be it.

Yeah, let me think ummmmm, well we both had it on 8.5x and we both fully pumped it. If you want facts ummmmm, the only difference you can feel between our guns is that my trigger is a tiny bit harder to pull.

Maybe I just got a extra special gun? :P

Oh, and also, his gun is only about 6 days older than mine. He got his through hasbro in the mail, I got mine at a Toys R Us, Maybe I got lucky or he got unlucky?

just compare your range and his range with the corresponding range for reviews. itll tell you whether yours is better, or his is worse.

All I know is that when he first got his range stats, they came to about 35 feet. Mine shoots about 3 or 4 feet farther...so about 38 or 39 feet.

I don't know why this is but it's good for me.
