What are the Forum moderators for?

Also, how did they get chosen for the role?

They're there to keep the peace, stop spammers from spamming, to move/close topics that don't belong in a certain area, etc.

I'm guessing that they're long time members that have proven themselves worthy for moderation through superb grammar, spelling, and manners.

Well yes, but not all are long time members.

If this is the case, why doesn't Internet and Off Topic have any moderators?

I think they should have been chosen if they made a lot of good topics!

They were chosen by their noted specialties. These positions are non-arguable, if you don't like who's doing what, tough.

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

Im not sure but I think its something with Soakologists end of the forums. However I will punish him quite dearly if he spams, etc in my neck of the woods.
