Super Soaker Central forums

I have made all the SuperMembers and a good 90% of the MembersPlus into Senior Members now. Members can store 20 more PMs because of this change now.

If anyone just came from WWN and would like a similar rank that they had before just PM me or post here. Same goes for anyone you think I missed when upgrading.

Some of you were made Senior Members mostly because we needed some place to start. SSC hasn't been around so long as to have people who are like "yeah, I remember when it was all starting." It's less than 2 years old, the oldest active soaker forum but still relatively new.

Right about 2 weeks before the update the senior members were converted back to super members. Was this an accident or does Doom prefer the term super members better? Just wondering.

People who weren't even here a long time (some even three days) were being promoted because of their posting quality, so the term "senior" really didn't fit anymore.

Super Members meant more of what I wanted it to be. It really wasn't Seniority. Duxburian explained it well.

I myself have noticed many get up to Super members in the past few weeks. I don't think I should be a Super member though. I don't feel fit for one. Only if you really need me to be a Super member. Please don't promote me.

I don't think that it is a good idea to promote new members to super members early on. Then they don't have as much to work for. If they feel like that isn't fair then they probably don't belong at these forums anyway. I am not discouraging growth of the forums, I am just saying that new members should not be promoted when they haven't had a real chance to prove themselves.

We don't routinely promote members to Super Members soon after they join. Most members are not Super Members. We only upgrade the ones we think are deserving of that promotion.

In short, don't worry, we'll only upgrade you when we think fit.
