UserID: 213 | 1st Post! At home, I have both the CPS 2700 and 2100. I was wondering if I should try K-modding one. Do you have any suggestions as to whether I should leave them as they are or take them apart? Note: They are both currently unmodded. Thanks!

UserID: 131 | K-Mod both! Why not? They're both awesome K-modded so you should K-mod both! The 2700 is very powerful when modded and the 2100 is easy to mod and gets great range! :P

UserID: 1 | Welcome to SSC, trekkie! Yes, I agree about modding them both. However if you don't want to reinforce the trigger valve of your CPS 2700, I would suggest partial K modding it with 25-30 balloons. The 2100 has the smaller and stronger valve in my opinion. My 2700's has blown twice, and from what I know people get away without reinforcing their 2100's valve at much more balloon than I had on my 2700! I would reinforce the inside with epoxy, especially on the sides where it is prone to cracking. I would also reinforce some of the outside, especially with some metal bar to prevent the plastic from bending. Or whatever works.

UserID: 213 | Thanks for your advice, but I still have a few questions. How difficult is the K-mod to do on the 2700? How many balloons should I use on the 2100? Should I freeze the check valve on either? Also, I am hesitant to mod both of them. My dad has a 1700, and we sometimes have water fights. If both of my CPS' break, I'll have to go against him with an XP215. Thanks again.

UserID: 75 | Use 40-80 balloons on the 2100. You will have to freeze the check valve, but its not hard. You could use 69 balloons and get away with not reinforcing a thing! :P If you are careful, nothing will break. I have never k-modded a 2700, but it seems to be harder because reinforcement of internals is needed. You could still probably beat your dad with the XP 215. Read up on some tactics. XP's use their water slower than CPS's, so try running your dad out of water.

UserID: 213 | Thanks, Duxburian. I'll use your suggestion and use 75 or 80 balloons. Just out of curiosity, do you have a 2100? If so, have you K-modded it? How much of a performance boost does the mod give? P.S: Generally, our battles are Soakfests, so the XP215 won't do much. In a 1HK, it could be useful...

UserID: 75 | I have 2 CPS 21000's, both are currently broken. My 1st had amazing stats, was ruined via Bluesmudge, lets not revisit that. Stats: 68 balloons Maximum range: 58.6ft output: roughly 15x shots per tank: 16.5! Shot time: 2 sec. Stock 2100 Max range: about 35-40ft Output: 7.5x Shots per tank: 4.5 Shot time: Don't know I didn't get stats for my 2nd 21000, it has explosive power though. 80 balloons is pushing it. I think 70 is a nice amount, just be careful if you use like 75 or more. Im not sure that you could get away with not reinforcing anything. With 70 or less, theres no need to worry over reinforcing. <Edit> rephrased some stuff

UserID: 213 | Thanks again, Duxburian. ~59 feet! I think that I may mod it soon. I can't wait to soak my dad using this... I'll take your advice and use seventy balloons. I hope you can fix at least one of yours. P.S: Soon, I'll try to post the CPSK 21000's shot.

UserID: 213 | I just have a small problem. I believe that I have the Mk. 3 version of the 2100. Often, I have heard that they suffer from internal defects. Would it still be good to mod it? <<EDIT: Yes! It turns out that, on the revised MK scale, I have the Mk. 2, the most powerful variant!>>

UserID: 113 | How many balloons could I add if I don't bother to reinforce the internals or freeze the check valve? Because I don't want to do anything permanent, and I don't want to lower my shot time too much (Stock CPS 2100 has about a three second shot time).

UserID: 213 | Well, I know that I won't take apart my 2700. The screws must have a millimeter of rust on them!

UserID: 69 | You should Trekkie! Just push real, real hard and if that doesn't work you can drill off the rust. Or, you could just drill out the screws and replace them with sparkling new ones. |

UserID: 213 | I don't think I will mod the 2700 unless something breaks inside. Speaking of drilling screws, how do you do it?

UserID: 213 | Just out of curiosity, Duxburian, do you remember what mark your 2100s were?
