Mwah ha ha ha ha.....IT'S ALIVE!
I just started work on my homemade soaker today, and so far things are going pretty good. I used my homemade plans from my previous post, the ones that supposedly wouldn't work, and it is kickin butt already.
I went to Lowe's and bought all the parts for about $20. All I needed was:
(all 1/2")
2x Chack Vavle
4x T-Joints
2x Elbow Joints
3x Male Adaptors
1x Ball Valve
I also used a few parts I had lying around my house:
Many 10" Balloons
Pump from my old XP310
2 Liter Soda Bottle
At first sight, my idea of a horizontal pressure chamber wouldn't work, but that's where the balloons come in. All I did was basically an XPS mod with the bottle acting as my pressure chamber. My only problem is that once I get more than 4 balloons on, it is hard to attach to the gun.
The rest of this week I will keep you all updated on my progress. I attached a pic of the current gun.
Right now I've got 4 balloons on, and it shoots about 15-20 feet. That's not really a whole lot, but I screwed up when I made my nozzle, so its not doing as good as it should.
Any advice you could send would be greatly appreciated...

I've been trying out different types of PCs for my gun. My original idea isn't working too well because I can't fit more than 3-4 balloons over the opening in the bottle and still be able to attach it. It's range was only about 15 ft.
My second idea was to use the old PCs from my XP310. I did an XPS mod on them, but the range was only about 20 ft.
Next, I used a vertical 20 oz. bottle with 3 balloons. It now has a range of 35 ft.
What's the best way to max my range? Bigger PC chambers?

My gun is almost done, I just need a little more help.
I finally got it all glued together, so it's not bursting open on me anymore, and I've got my backpack water container built. My only problems now are in the range...
What is the best way to increase range?
Will the nozzle size change my range that much?
If so, what is the best size to use for a nozzle?
Right now my current range is 40 ft. and it puts out about 2 20oz. bottles worth of water in less than a second or two. I want to increase my range and shot time.
