Hello!
I have a Super Soaker CPS 2000, but it's not really healthy I think..
The shooting range is minimal, maximum 2 meters. The soaker also makes these strange sounds when it fires. It's just like an Arctic Blaster. More like a "splash". There is no beam.
Well, sometimes it is, but the squirt is very bad. The water "dies" once it has left the soaker.
Is there anything I could do about this? Please!

Can you pump it to full capacity? How hard is it to pump?
My best suggestion is to open it up and then pump like normal and see what happens. Then fire and see what happens.

Hi, Silence.
Yes I can pump it to full capacity, and it is very easy to pump. There is almost no resistance at all when I pump it.
Okay, I'll try to open it. What should I look for when I fire? I'm sure I will notice if it is something obvious. But I'm no expert like you.. Yet

Leaking anywhere.
Does it seem to shoot for longer than it should? The 2000 should normally empty its pressure chamber in about a second. If it's short ranged but shooting longer, that would suggest the firing valve is failing to fully open.

I work on Windows. My toolbox is Linux.

If it isn't a leak nor a sluggish firing valve, it could be foreign objects stuck in the nozzle.. Be sure the laminators (the screens and straws) are in properly and that no objects are there to interfere with the shot.
