2" to 3/4" reducers

Post by The Stealthy Panda » Sun May 13, 2007 1:53 am

Where do I find 2" to 3/4" reducers? I've been to both a local hardware store and Home Depot, and both places said that they don't exist. I've spent a month already collecting parts for an APH (my first!), and I'm getting pretty impatient. Where can I get them?

Yeah, first of all, the people at those stores don't always know all the parts - at least, not the ones in stock. Perhaps you should have suggested reducing bushings...they're not the bell-shaped reducers. Reducing bushings slide into large 2" sockets - usually a coupler, but it's a 2"-3" bell reducer if you're building the standard APH.

Check that Home Depot again! Don't trust the workers, do the searching yourself. Although, as Silence said, check bushings - 3/4"-2" bushings are as common and cheap as dirt.

Well, I finally found one of those bushings at a Lowes in New Hampshire. I also got my first look at anything larger than 4" tubing.
