It will (probably) go further, but you will have a shorter shot time, because it squeezes water out faster, but holds the same amont (or less) water.

So If I understand it will simply get the water out faster (so maybe get it further and snap on my opponents harder, right?)

Thank you very much for all your answers I learned a lot!

Ok so thanks everybody for all your great answer! Now, time to work! I will surely need some help while opening the FF so I might post another conversation with some pics... And when it's going to be finished, I will post it with some pics and a short description of what I did...

The only problems (presuming all the screws are fine) could be the pump cap and maybe the nozzle covers. (These are generally the two problem areas - I'm just listing them - I'm not sure whether they are problems for the Flash Flood).

I already read something like that... It said that the guy had difficulties opening his gun (FF) because of ''X'' and ''X'' reason, I don't remember...

Err, yeah, I forgot about that, IIRC the Flash Flood is a real pain to get open.

I'll try to do it... The secret is to be careful in what you cut of break while opening it. If i need help I'll post a new thread with some pics of my own.

I have a CPH question. I want to use LRT for my design, and I had something special in mind.

Can you have the water enter one side of the LRT chamber and exit out of the other side and out the nozzle? Using a check valve on one side of course. Would that affect performance? Would it work?

I'm not sure if I explained that correctly, tell me if you don't understand it, and I will draw a picture.

This has been suggested before. It's reckoned to be a bad idea to have both ends fixed, since that prevents the LRT from expanding lengthways. If the ends aren't rigidly rixed, that allows the LRT to expand fully but presents its own engineering challenges.

Sorry for my late response cantab. I've had some difficulties lately that has forced me to cut back on my activity. I can still manage to log on at least once every day.

So you're saying that it's a better idea to go with the traditional method? I'll have to go to plan "B" in that case. I wonder if there's a way to test my idea without actually building the blaster. Ideas?

I don't see a point in doing that. It would be interesting, but it wouldn't be good, and it would (probably) have an awkward design.

Actually the design I had in mind would be to save space, and not be as awkward.

I have a plan to test my idea, in order to see whether or not it will perform better than the traditional design.

I have some more questions though. What is the best way to make an LRT chamber? How many layers should I use and what are the best LRT sizes? I also heard something about using bike tubes to layer over the LRT. Would this help performance?

I don't know much about homemade CPS chambers.
