Leaky guns

Post by Monsoon » Wed Jul 23, 2003 11:47 pm

I have read on other sites about many XP 310 models being leaky or broken when just bought. The only problem on mine is leaking out of the selection nozzles. I tried unscrewing the nozzle selector and putting it back on, and it doesn't work. I know where the leak comes from and why, but I can't fix it. Also, There is a leak on my XP 150. The leak is the little column of plastic that the pump covers when the pump is pushed into the gun. My dad says something about a rubber ring or something in the pump shaft is broken or worn. He says that they aren't sold anywhere. Is this true? or is that the actual problem?

My XP 95 leaked out of the same place. I thought it wouldn't be worth it to repair it. I never opened it up so I never found out it I was right.

HAHA! you think you people have leaks. puh-leez. you haven't even SEEN leaks till you've shot an XP 70.

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

My XP 70 didn't leak. My brothers did. Eventually, the PC cracked in mine and it wouldn't work anymore.
You should be able to find O-Rings Monsoon. That's what you probably need. Look at a home improvement store.

My 310 has grown an open crack in the tank. I will try to duct tape and super glue it shut. There is a way to stop my 310 from leaking-- Super glue around the edges of the nozzle selector (I know this will stop me from choosing nozzles) or if you guys have a better idea can you please post it?

Is the leaking really bad? If it isn't, don't bother. A little leaking never hurt anyone. If it is, I can't help you. I had the same problem with the fan spray setting on my 4100. I didn't use it much so it didn't bother me. I never tried to fix it.

If the leaking destroys the range and shot time, fix it. On that single PC homemade I made, the nozzle leaks a bit, and after a while the range and shot time is decreased substatually. So, I'm going to buy a better nozzle. Maybe you could take the nozzle selector off.

I super glued the leaks shut, but I have yet to test the gun out with it's new repairs.

caring? yeah sometimes. but there are special cases, such as when a member of this forum decides he is going to post probable false advice. then I get pissed. (and care)
