Making my first aph

Post by Chernobyl » Sat Apr 17, 2010 11:54 pm

So I finally got the time to go get the parts for my very first homemade. I'm going to make an aph and I was wondering If someone could give me a more recent estimate of the price of all the materials. Also I thought I might make a SuperCPS but I think I don't where I can get LRT and I don't think I can order it through McMaster-Carr. So if anyone has any ideas I'd like to know. And it's my first homemade so any suggestions or tips would be appreciated too.

You can still build a CPH by stacking standard party balloons over a large hose barb and then clamping them down. Their necks may need to be trimmed slightly in order to stack them. However, a PC case may be tricky to make. (and you do not want to make a CPH without a PC case; they are a real pain to hold)

Depending on size, a couple of plastic mixing bowls might work for a spherical PC case. They tend to be close to hemispheres. Only tricky bit might be joining them.
I work on Windows. My toolbox is Linux.

That's a good idea. And you could probably join them with screws.
