The Small Question Thread

Post by martianshark » Sun Apr 11, 2010 10:49 pm

I made this thread for people to post questions that aren't big enough to start a whole new thread about.

My question: What's the point of the CPS 1-3-5 mod? You can control how many nozzles are being used, so why do you need to plug up the four other nozzles?

Because it's possible to accidently pull the trigger back too far which would waste water and not be ergonomical, obviously. The modifications are designed to turn the 1-3-5 from a weak gimmick blaster to a standard, effective CPS.

Given some of the threads we've seen lately, this would definitely not be a bad idea. I'll sticky it. That said, there is a "how to find answers to your questions" thread on the sticky list close to this one as well.

I need to get 1/4" PVC pipe. Could someone show me where to get it on McMaster Carr or something?

Actual Pipe

You have to be very specific in what you want there. Be sure to triple check that what you select is correct.

Does clear PVC work with regular PVC solvent and stuff? If not, does dark grey?

Clear pvc usually has thinner walls, and will probably warp during the solvent process. But the grey pvc might work, as long as it has similar properties to normal pvc.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
Quack damn you.

You can get clear, pressure rated, schedule 40 PVC that will be the same dimensions as opaque PVC. That should solvent weld fine. (The stuff's expensive, but a blaster that's almost entirely transparant would look amazing).

That would be cool, but I'm only looking for 1/4" PVC for a homemade SC port.

Hi. I am going to start building and APH soon,(Whenever I get the parts.) and I have a question.
What is the best number of PC's to use? I'm thinking of using one, but if two can offer better power, then I'd be willing to spend extra money to get parts for another.

I just don't want to waste money one two PC's if one can do the job just as well.
