Good ol' Proboards--I'm using those for my SOCOM II website. Unfortunately, I can't seem to make them availiable to the public (I made them only viewable to registered members). This one guy registered, but I never got word of me having to give him email confirmation. More on-topic: I hope they get popular (but never as popular as SSC!
Do not underestimate the power of stupidity in large groups

The best advice I can give you when starting a forum is that the founder has to post a lot if not more than anyone else. They need to get the discussions started. People come to a forum to talk about a subject, and if there is nothing to talk about they'd rather not. Also, I would suggest ditching Proboards and at least using Invision Free or another forum host. There are tons of forum hosts better than Proboards.

Sure DA, I could create one easily enough, but I want to wait until the boards grow a little a bit, before making a forum completely dedicated to art. Until that time , post any art related material you have in the community section.
Hey, if anyone has any good soaker pictures to use for avatars, plase, e-mail them to me at wetmonkey[at]optonline.net
This goes for any suggestions or questions you may have either.

No offense, HyperBoards is a ProBoards clone. BoardNation was like ProBoards but had no ads visible to the average user, so if you really like that set up I'd suggest them. InvisionFree is a board like this one, with skinning and everything just as advanced. I think it even has the upload features like here. It's way more advanced, and that's why I recommend it.
