Here are links to the Max-D 6000 and XP 70.
Remember, the guns could look the same, but have different colors.

You got those from a dollar store? That's quite a great deal.

I don't see how either of those could be counterfeit in any way; they are both genuine. If either of them is having problems, do let us know.

Both are air pressure soakers with seperate pressure chambers. Water is pumped from the reservoir into a seperate chamber where the existing air is compressed by the buildup of water. You can get better performance by pumping in air before adding water. To do this, pump before adding water to the reservoir, and/or pump with the blaster held upside down. (There is an intake hole in the reservoir and if it's submerged, then you'll pump in water instead of air.)

That's the simple way to maximize performance. The Max-D 6000 can also benefit from nozzle drilling, but be careful and don't drill it too large. Even with a nozzle just slightly larger than the largest nozzle available, lower ranges are immediately noticeable. Of course, if you want a riot blast (shotgun-like nozzle), that's a different story entirely, but the Max-D 6k still isn't quite powerful enough to push out a good riot blast.

I haven't worked with the XP70 much since I don't own one, but I don't think much can be done to improve its performance other than pumping extra air into the pressure chamber.

Well... I just collect random water guns. If you have unlimited money or something, I'd start by getting a Vindicator, Equalizer, Pulse Master, Pair of Max-D 3000s, and maybe a Vanquisher. Then I'd go online and buy a CPS 2500, 1500, 1000, and maybe a 3000 or 3200. I would also get an XP 150 and if you're lucky, an SS 300.

Oh yeah, and the SC Power Pak is a great weapon also.

Depends what you want.

As an experienced CPS 1000 user, I can tell you that the CPS 1000 really is an all-round badass blaster. Great firepower combined with light weight means it's perfect as the ultimate infantryman's weapon.

However, the CPS 2000 outclasses it in power, soakage and reservoir capacity by a large factor. The CPS 2000 can bucket water out to 50ft, the CPS 1000 might just managa 40ft. But the CPS 1000 has a 3 second shot time, whilst the CPS 2000 only has one second of shot time before you're pumping 20 times again.

So it's down to what you want. CPS 1000 is great for a primary that you can depend on to surpress, "kill" and defend, the CPS 2000 is great for a one shot sniper like weapon due to its short shot time.

It would be easier for us if you gave a link...

Basically, if it has a reservoir cap and the stickers are the same, it's real. You can also look at the trigger. Most knockoffs use pinch triggers, and you can tell if it is one just by looking at it.

I would get the 2000 because of how cheap it is.
