Hello

Post by toymakr000 » Tue Jan 30, 2007 1:36 pm

Just wanted to say hi and see whats going on in January. I live in Michigan
and it's supposed to get down to 7 degrees tonight which means hard-very hard water :)

I also live in the lower part of Michigan. Dispite the snow, I have shot water guns outside, but I won't do that anymore since the cold may damage the internals.

Welcome to the forums! Water fights should become easier later in the year. ;)

This time of year ice balls shoot out of the cannon nicely.

Yup. But if you have plans for a water-balloon launcher in mind, use metal instead. PVC loses strength in the cold.

I don't know if you were referring to a water-balloon launcher or not, but it's just a thought.

Cannon

Post by toymakr000 » Wed Jan 31, 2007 1:42 pm

My cannon is steel. It weighs about 350lbs. I actually haven't tried water balloons yet. The barrel holds a little over 5 gallons and sprays it about 100 feet in one shot. Yea you get wet. It's like my own private rain cloud :) I actually would like to make a gas engine powered SQUIRT gun
for a canoe trip we take every year.

How long are your canoe trips? I can't imagine carrying a gas powered steel thing with me on a 5 day canoe trip with long portages...2 mile portage + mosquitos + heavy water gun + 50lb. normal canoe pack...= not fun

Holy mother of God... That is one large beast. Have you got a picture?
