Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good host to go to, to make a website. I need it to be free cause I'm cheap. But I just want to make a website for stuff, a topic unknown to me yet.
So if anyone could make any suggestions that'd be great thanks.

A pretty good one. I think this topic was already made, you should do a search for this next time before you post.

You want one that will allow you to have an independent subdomain. Do not use something that makes your url like freewebs.com/23free/sites/blahblahblah/your site. You want a short subdomain, like yoursite.s5.com, or yoursite.com. Use freeservers.com or freeprohosting.com for a better free site. Freeservers has a user-friendly page editor, while you can use ftp for freeprohosting. I wouldn't use 5gigs even if it was running, I tried and the system kept randomly changing my password every few minutes. :Hey, that's funny.:

Don't do that, Google doesn't sort them by how good of a host they are.Originally posted by Storm@Sep 8 2004, 07:21 PM
Ah ok, well just do a search on google. Google > Free hosts e.t.c
Tons will show up. It won't be hard to find one that meets your needs, of course don't get to picky, they are free! B)
Move the the correct forum... It's not that hard guys.

And read that for my opinion on webhosts.
