I'm on a never ending quest to get or make the farthest shooting gun. But everything else on the list is important to me also.

I don't check this forum anymore.

I did. I don't really care about range, given my usual battle circumstances and sitiuations in my area. Same with maneuverability. Plain common sense suggests that looks/style have nothing to do with anything battle-related. Power (output) is my only concern, really.

I kind of agree with you. Part of looks is color, which can be crutial if your in a wooded area and your gun is bright orange. I have a fine taste for certain soaker looks. But that rairly effects my decision in buying one.

Edit: typo

Range, Definately. None of the other stats matter if you can't get close enough to hit the enemy without getting hit yourself. Looks/style have little to do with battles unless it involves issues like camo. The other stats are important, but they have minimal effect if your gun can't shoot far enough. I'm getting used to 50ft. being a standard because of 1HK wars in forested areas, where power is useless. Manueverability is important, but it's hard to score a kill if your gun is light but only shoots 30ft.

That's the problem with super soakers. Who ever has the better range has a nice advantage. -_-

By looks/styling, I meant the shape and looks of it, not colours.

I believe that's true for all forms of modern warfare. M16A2 vs. AKS-74U at 300 yards, it's pretty obvious the M16A2 will win. The same applies to CPS2000 Mk. 2 (or APH) at 50 feet vs. an XP310.

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

"Power" really overlaps with range, so I changed it to Output.

Unless you are a relentless kamikaze then you'r powerful super soaker is useless. The range is always what makes a good soaker. I would rather have a soaker that could shoot 50ft on 5x than a soaker that could only shoot 30ft on 20x. Style really doesn't matter and the maneuverability isn't that big of an issue if you are fit or are strong.

In the back of my head, all of these things are very important and crucial. Here is my opinion from 1 to 4:

1.) Output
2.) Range
3.) maneuverability
4.) Style

Range is a very important thing to take into an account in a water battle. However Say we have two guns, the CPS 2500 and CPS 1000 going against each other in a arch of fire. The CPS 1000's Nozzle is about 5x, and will get off about 40 feet. However the CPS 2500 has a 10x option, which will get off the same length as the CPS 2500. Range is important yes, but what good is a gun with excellent range, but tiny output? Thats why a good blaster will incorperate all these things, except style.

It is a common choice by the community to vote for range, but there are exceptions. Depending on the place, time, and soakers involved, output can make more or just the amount of difference in your sucess ina water war. It takes a good commander to balance this out, which could cost you the war. Know your blasters, their capabilities, and most of all your enemie's capabilities, if you can. B)

All of the above should be balanced.

I finally decided to go with range, but I favor range just above all the others.
Got a CPS 2000 well you know it makes me feel alright,
Have an XP by my pillow, helps me sleep a little better at night.
There truly is no feeling any greater, than to soak first and ask questions later.
Now I'm, Soaker Happy, Soaker Happy every day.

Currently, I prefer output. I've only really had waterfights with my Dad, and he "only" has a CPS 1700. Because we do soakfests, there's no real range issue, it's who can get the other wetter.
Rereading these forums make me feel old >.<
