Well, at the time of that question (which is in no way a rating), they even went as far to say the Max-D 6000 was the farthest shooting Super Soaker ever in the commercial. Watch it if you don't believe me, it's at the id site (and I convieniently forget the URL). It's not true, but they can report what they want I suppose. h34r:

Yeah. Thats why they're called Max D (Maximum Distance) even though they don't shoot at maximum distance. CPS still out shoots Max D.Well, at the time of that question (which is in no way a rating), they even went as far to say the Max-D 6000 was the farthest shooting Super Soaker ever in the commercial. Hahahaha, whatever it is, it sound special.
Yeah, my CPS 4100 outshoots my Max-D6000 by about 6 to 7 feet or more.
I wonder since maybe Max-D 6000's break faster maybe, that they tell you they're the farthest shooter, so that you'll go out and buy one. Than when it breaks you keep buying them. I don't know I'm just thinking.

I just think that Hasbro is smothering the world of water wars, making Larami a lost hope...
Maybe one day Buzz Bee Toys will get hold of a CPS1500 or better yet, a CPS2000 MK1, take the PC out of it and make a WW soaker out of it, using original CPS technology...

Wouldn't that be breach of a patent, hasn't hasbro already sued someone for that? The Arm xl 3000 or something used CPS technology so they sued them, and won.

On the contrary. Evidence showed it did not contain CPS Technology, thus Ohio Arts won the case. As for the answer to this topic (which it hasnt been answered) Im going to say it now. That was put there for promotional reasonsa. Would some illiterate 10 year old buy something that had better range? probably, counting the fact that that was the only available blaster at the time that was affordable. Simple Marketing, anyone can see that.Originally posted by Commander_Gaunt@Sep 10 2004, 04:53 PM
