I'm a long-time lurker since '00, and I sort of forgot about the soaker scene for a while, and now I'm back, and I'm wondering what happened to that old idea for a huge war at niagara in 2005.
It seemed far away back then, but it's just a year off now, so is it still on, or did everyone forget about it?

We havnt forgotten about it, If I remember correctly there was an old topic about this on WWN. Im pretty sure the idea is dead, but Doom... correct me on this if I am wrong, but I still think its on. :unsure:Originally posted by Insomniac@Jul 24 2004, 03:26 PM

Mist, you gotta stop trolling. Ever learned manners? If you can't say anything constructive, SHUT UP.
In response to Insomniac, any attempts thusfar to plan anything have been shot down, claiming "it's still a long ways away." It's still about a year away, so I wouldn't fret about planning yet.

Whatever music you listen to probably sucks.

hey it's true though, how do you expect a whole bunch of kids and teenagers to make their way out of the country just for a soaker event? Hasbro HQ I know any good parent would not let their child go, plus their are many expenses that most kids/teens can't pay.
I'm not trolling I'm just trying to explain that this event will never happen so don't get your hopes up (if it does some how happen only like 5 or less people will show)

My mom would let me go.hey it's true though, how do you expect a whole bunch of kids and teenagers to make their way out of the country just for a soaker event? Hasbro HQ I know any good parent would not let their child go, plus their are many expenses that most kids/teens can't pay.
This is how to ask your parent to go: Start the topic of vacations and then say how nice it would be to go to Niagara (or how much you loved it the first time you went). Then say that you and your online buddies set up a water gun fight there a few years ago snd how convenent it would be to go the week of the water gun fight. Tell your parent(s) they are free to go online on your account to find out more about this fight. Also, tell them how much it will mean to you if you go. Plus, as an added bonus, tell them (if you have a sibling)that they will be able to play to and that they can use your own stuff (that ALWAYS works on my parents).
BTY, this should be in wars.

I might be able to go if my older firend gets his licence by then. He's one year older and I'm not even sure I want to step in the car with him. And why Toronto? Who decided that city?

Its in Niagara, not Toronto. I'm assuming Niagara is the town near Niagara falls in the NE corner of NY?
I am NOT stepping into a car with Court behind the wheel. I like life too much to do that. He's one year older and I'm not even sure I want to step in the car with him.

Anybody born after 1989 is going to have an uphill time getting there this time. But Mist, it's really not too far-fetched to think that, if everyone there is 16 or older, could provide for themselves. Of course we're not going to have 13 and unders there, that's just too difficult to plan. Basically, if you were here before 2003, you can easily make it there if you have a ride (someone older who wants to go and will drive you). And regardless of whether or not you were telling the truth, Mist, it WAS trolling. You needn't be so pessimistic.
