This is definitely a joke. There's no way that would hold 80 gallons. I'd guess it'd hold at most 10 gallons. And the range is laughable. It'd take a stream at least several inches wide to survive the drag to go over 500 feet.

Other than that the "Big Squirts" seem like a new type of the Water Worm guns seen before.

No way. There has yet to be a water gun that can shoot past 100 feet, let alone 700 feet. May I ask what that thing is exactly, and how it's supposed to shoot water?

Ben, 55 gallons of water fit in a tall kitchen trash bag (according to the water balloon they dropped off the roof on David Letterman show) I can see that thing holding 80 gallons. It is 8 feet tall.

It's a seriously impressive gun. It should EASILY hold 80 Imperial gallons; a cylinder 8 foot long by 8 1/2 inches wide is that, and looks about right. Of course that neglects wall thickness, but It will likely expand in both diameter and length

Basically, it's a giant CPS chamber, with a nozzle valve on the end. To fill it would require a pressurised source or external pump.

As for the range claim, well that does seem less likely. If the walls are thick then the pressure could be substantial, 100-200 psi perhaps. Even so, with no drag a 734 feet range still requires a launch velocity of 105 mph!. I suspect a decimal point has been misplaced, and the true range is 73.4 feet.

For my volume calculation I was assuming an inner diameter of about 4 inches and an empty length of 5 feet. Larger tubes do exist but I wasn't thinking about them at the time.

73.4 feet would make more sense, but it still seems really high. You'd need to layer the LRT a lot and potentially have access to a high pressure water hose depending on how much pressure was used. The 60 PSI of most taps might be enough but I'd feel more confident with higher pressures. Maybe he used glycerin if it was just a typo and truly was measured.

It's far from 'gimmicky'. On the contrary, it's about the simplest possible design for a water gun, being just a length of LRT with a valve on the end.

I'm not sure how powerful the normal one is. It could be merely XP class, then again it could be like a CPS.
