Hey, I was wondering if anyone actually has done any of the mods in the mods section here at SSC. I'm hoping that people actually do what took me hours to make.

well, you've added most of them in the winter and peeps tend not to be very active in soaking at that time. I think you'll get a better "following" this spring.

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

If you have any soakers to experiment on, try them! I used to not modify my soakers, but one day I just tried out a mod and I was really satisfied with the results. Start with external mods, easier mods, and then move up to internals mods when you think you are ready. If you think your parents can help, ask them, I know my dad helped me a lot when I was K modding my 2700.

Someone unknown trod on one of my XP270s. Luckily he/she only broke the tank, so I have hopes of making a Backpack XP270...interesting idea, no? Not the most highly powered soaker...but at least I'd probably have more water than anyone else on the field!
Maybe even CPS modding the 270 might work...has anybody tried doing this?
BTW...thanks for the welcome.

A backpack sounds good. You may want to repair it with a 2L or similar bottle, it would be lighter and still have a lot of water.
As for CPS modding... it's called XPS. You take a lot of balloons and stuff them in the PC, and then you have to push it in the hole. You should also glue it in, it may pop out with that much rubber sticking out.

How effective is XPS, and what is the optimum number of balloons? Any pics available?
Thanks.

no pics available that I know of, but from what I hear it won't increase power/range much, but rather it will allow you to shoot at a 0° angle, as opposed to 45° being the optimum.

No, XPS will increase power from what people tell me. The balloon PC mod doesn't increase power, that's what you were thinking of.

So...er... what is XPS then? and what's the balloon PC mod if it's different? :S

Balloon PC mod has 1 or 2, only separating the air and water. That let's you shoot at any angle.
XPS has much more balloons, turning it into a CPS gun.
Yeah, I do seem to know a lot of mods.

I see. so there's really no point to the balloon pc mod as long as you have lots of balloons.
