Hah, if it was purple and orange then that is one of the ones I owned. I broke the nozzle, the nozzle is the qfd port like a splashzooka. They are really hard to get into the qfd and the nozzles are brittle on those storm models and once they break, they are hard to fix. I was young at the time and just threw mine away. I bet I could have fixed it.

Wait, It was air pressure right? If it was, then I don't see how a QFD would work. The zooka used CPS tech, which means that while adding water it already had pressure through the bladder. But with air pressure, you need to be pumping air in as well. So I don't see how that gun could of worked, unless it had some version of CPS.

QFDs work just fine on air pressure guns. The water is pumped in, giving less space for the air, which compresses it. That's the same way separate pressure chamber air pressure guns work. The only problem with QFD air pressure guns is the gun will fill very fast at first, but the rate will slow as the pressure gets higher. Might take longer than a similar CPS system.

I have a Storm 800 it's a pretty cool gun but the trigger is a weak spot on it.The QFD like device does not seem to work too well on mine it's really hard to use and only fills it halfway,I would reccomend not using the hose attachment to fill it and just take the cap off instead.but overall it's a pretty good gun and makes a good secondary but I still prefer the 500 over it.
Ultima Soak. Coming soon!

Welcome to SSCentral hotshot (hope you don't mind my contraction ^_^ ). Be sure to read and follow all the board guidelines, which include using proper spelling and grammar.
Maybe you could type up a full review of the Storm 800, maybe take a few stats? We'd like a review of it on the site.
