Sounds like there is something wrong with either:

1.) The trigger spring

2.) The trigger valve spring

We can't help you too well unless you open it up and report. Or better, get pictures.

The Max-D trigger mechanisms are really vulnerable. My Max-D 6000's trigger mechanism is screwed up too, so you're not alone on that one!

It sounds like the nozzle is opening like it should when you fire, but when you let go the valve isn't closing properly, I.e. it stays half open and water spurts out.
Best way to fix this is to open her up, the find the trigger mech and grease it up a bit. Pump the trigger a few times, then grease it some more. Soon you'll be hearing that familiar snapping noise of the valve snapping open. I find that after I've done this, a full pressure blast knocks the trigger valve out again... Have to find some way of strengthening it...

The whole reason that the Max-D triggers are so easy to screw up is because they snap open and closed, without opening to a varying degree. So the mechanism snaps open faster, making it wear out faster.

Dark Elite, your posts are very appreciated, but please don't bring up old topics especially when the person's question has been answered. ;) I noticed you bring up a lot of oldish topics.
