The Monster was Super Soakers attempt to make a reasonable mini-version
of the Monster (later named Monster X) and the XL. it is pretty much the same
as its later cousin the CPS 4100 except the Monster is a tad bit Larger and
incorporates the QFD capabilities of the SC line, witch is why I would recommend
the Monster over the 4100.
The nozzles on the Monster are pretty decent except for the Fan Blast
setting wich sends 6 streams of water into diferent directions (similiar to the CPS 1-3-5)
and while this sounds like a good idea its not because the stream is actualy weaker then the
1-3-5 on the 5 nozzle mode. The 8.5x nozzle is nice but drains almost half the reservoir.
The 2.5x nozzle is good for conserving water supplies and the 4x is a nice compromise
between the 8.5x and the 2.5x nozzels however it would have ben better if it was 5x or
at least 4.5 witch is closer to most of the cps line blasters.Personally I think Fan Blast
should be changed to a 6x or 7x nozzle, because its not really good for anything.
The range of Monster is probably one if not the worst of the Monster and related
CPS lines. The Monsterhas a nice and well built pump witch is built in and stronger than
the older models.the whole gun is built well with the weakest part being the trigger handle.
A nice little feature that is not really noticeable at first glance is the pressure gage in the
interior of the blaster just in front of reservoir whitch holds 2200 ml.
Pros: Cons:
QFD Very short range
4 nozzle selections More pumps than most
Pressure indicater
Built in pump
