Xp 70 piston pressure????

Post by Curt » Thu Jul 16, 2009 5:53 pm

2 of my Xp 70,s are working like piston guns!
Every time I pump they squirt and the trigger has no effect at all.

Plug up the PC's for BETTER PISTON ACTION.

Or you could, ya know, lubricate the trigger.

Curt, this is the most common water gun problem and is the first listed on our repairs page: http://www.sscentral.org/repairs/nozzle_leaking.html

I'm confused at what he wants. I assume it's to repair it, so here goes. Open up the gun. Attached to the front of the white plastic is a rod. pull and push this rod while lubricating it. Finally, push it in, put the gun back together. Pump up the pressure (the pressure seals the disk) and check for leaks. Do this once for each gun.

The rubber band repair is just what I needed thanks!
However The band keeps sliping off. :)
I thought about gluing the rubber band but I would rather try somthing else first.
Any ideas?

use tape to make a "cup". hook it on both the rubber band and the trigger rod.
