Lucky find: bought a CPS 3000
For only $14,-.
Bad luck also: I broke the connector that connects the gun to the hose. Anyone know how to fix this? The part from the gun broke.

Gratz on the purchase!Medievall_madness wrote:For only $14,-.

About the repair: A picture may help. If it is only broken plastic, the best method is usually epoxy glue. It is very strong and can make the connection watertight again.
Resistance is futile. You will be soakinated.

You mean the Quick Fill Device? I guess if it's beyond repair you can just open it up and replace it with a PVC check valve of the same size. Sorry if my advice is stupid, I've never worked with internals before.
Sorry if I'm not active much, busy on another forum and another project non-soaker related.

@ strato_2r5 a CPS 3000 does not have a QFD-nozzle...
WHat he means is the adapter at the end of the backpack's hose, the grey, round piece you put into the gun and twist to lock.

If I am right, superglue or similar things should be enough to repair it for years
Also happened to me but it was fixed quite easily

I wouldn't trust much of anything on water guns (short of cosmetic repairs like stickers) to superglue. Epoxy or Gorilla Glue (epoxy is better; try to find one specialized for plastics and metal) are always the best options.

I do not know which Super-glue you use and also not my Super-glue in detail but from experiences the super-glue I do use fixed everything yet without problems. Much pressure and tension or not, does not matter, the glue is strong, stable and seal
May I do use a special kind of Super-glue, it uses a "activator spray in addition" thought. I use it for years and never thought much about it itself
But it is a great choice from what I have fixed yet

Sorry for the late reply. I used a 2 component glue and it worked perfect. It is some kind of epoxy.
