I've been periodically checking SuperSoaker.com for an major update, but I haven't checked the browse blasters page until today. The Wookiee Blaster has been added. This is not much, but it is a signal that SS.com might see a more major update soon. ;)

I wonder if they've deliberately not updated their page with the main blasters because they're planning a big publicity stunt, for example a SoakerTag Elite competition.

I just wanna go to one of their little competitions with a CPS 15000 and see how good the 2005 line really is... hehehehe....

Of course, there is really no compairison to the 1998 line, other then the 1996 line, with the release of the 2000 mk. 1.
I don't check this forum anymore.

I must agree this is an od time for the Wookie Blaster to appear on the site, I cannot come up with any logical conclusions as to why. I am a huge Star Wars Fan, and part of the Star Wars Community, two hobbies in one? you bet Im buying it. Whether the performance is poor or not, id love to have it as a collector's item.

They could be trying to use up some old 2004 stock before releasing the new blasters, but I have no idea why they would release the wookie blaster first. However they will have made it with Lucasarts or something, maybe the other company forced them to release it now.

Something just hit me...could they be waiting until the release of the S.O.A.K.E.R.S. film before updating their website?

I didn't even know there was going to be a S.O.A.K.E.R.S. film coming out.

Interesting possibility! I've read rather dated articles from late 2002 about that movie... and the ones most have seen were in 2003. 2002 projections put the movie in summer 2003, 2003 projections put the movie in fall 2004. An "elite" squad of water gunners may be just what this is about.

Then again, there was that gun that said "As seen in the movie S.O.A.K.E.R.S." back in 2004. Might just have been a sXPBackfire-esqueped idea.
