What makes the IM2/AB/FF series soakers so special? Did a quick search but couldn't find much... I'm on my phone. Thanks for any replies.
Edit: so it seems they are CPS-style soakers... Will an APH outperform them? I'm designing the homemade so I can later convert it to a bladder system.

Re: IM2 question
They are liked because they are decently balanced, contain CPS, have a riot blast, and are compact-ish. At this size, the CPS makes little difference in range, and is most useful because firing angles are not restricted.
Any well designed/built APH should easily out-preform these guns. However, on a standard APH, you have firing angle restrictions, less convenient riot blast, often bad balance, and a "compact" APH is much more bulky than the stock guns.
The Flash Flood is the most ergonomic of the guns, but is also the least sturdy.
