The Great Ebay Deals [Missed!] Thread

Post by DX » Wed Jun 25, 2008 5:37 am

I have long been a bargain hunter on Ebay. Reasonable CPS pricing still exists even though the bandwagon of naysayers has swelled to a rather odd size lately. While prices on most auctions balloon to stupidly high levels...there are plenty that don't catch the money wave. Then again, I don't mind the constant barrage of advice that involves not even bothering with high Ebay prices...it leaves the good deals all to myself :) Of course I then miss the closes *sigh*

The latest auction closes that I watched and missed [shipping from listing location to NJ:

- CPS 3000 [/w backpack] $52 + $25 shipping

- 4x CPS 1000 [some broken] $34 + $22 shipping

- CPS 1500 [w/strap] $43.98 + $15.45 shipping

- CPS 3000 [/w backpack] $70.03 + $15 shipping

- XP 75 [NIB] $20.50 + $18.06 shipping [not great, but Cali to Jersey is high]

I bought a CPS 3000 without backpack on eBay a few days ago for $58 including shipping. Good deal because I don't care about the backpack too much. I'm considering making a built in reservoir just to be different.

Some of these auctions are making me think it might be worthwhile, even in the summer, to use an eBay sniping program to snipe the auction only if it's under a certain price.

I missed a CPS 1200 where the guy had taken off the strap and put in his own leather strap. It went for $39.99 I think.

There are many good auctions out there, and I really hate it when people complain about prices and no see these. If they really wanted them, they could get them cheap if they are willing to wait for deals like these. They still pop up often, but you have to watch for them.
