APH and CPH output question.

Post by captianfear » Wed Jul 15, 2009 9:50 pm

I have read the guides on the CPH and the APH and it states that their outputs are 40x and 50x respectively. I was wondering if those outputs where just the riot blasts. I would like to know what type of output these guns achieved using their high range, stream nozzles.

The index page says "max output" and the APH page itself says the riot blast output is 50X.

As for specific outputs, I never measured the stream output. If you want a certain output, you can try different nozzles until you get it. Generally this is what you must do anyway as not all water guns perform the same due to differences in construction and the atmospheric at different locations.

I was just wondering what outputs people have gotten. Like would it be probable for the output on a stream nozzle to be equal or greater than the cps 2000 with greater range?

Yes, of course you can get both of those. I think the idea generally is to get the same range or better with less output. That'd be more efficient. ;)

Someone else likely has specific numbers if you want them.

My CPH shoots farther than my neighbor's 2000 with a smaller nozzle. The gun also has less pressure than the 2000 (easier to pump, and doesn't push streams out as fast), and the nozzle's excellent lamination gave it high range. Output was roughly 8 or 9x, through an 8mm nozzle. (water balloon filler FYI)

Okay thanks for the output rating.

C-A 99, this may not be the best place to ask, but what type of fitting can you screw conventional water balloon fillers onto? Looks like a 1" male adapter to me, but I don't have a filler in front of me right now.

Water balloon fillers are meant to thread onto garden hose, which is the same as 3/4" NPT except that the threads are straight.
