Well, I have heard my share this year of how power is declining in water blasters from Hasbro in general. Here is the facts that prove it.

Soakologist and I are phoning Hasbro tomorrow to find out from hasbro themselves as to why CPS has stopped. No theories or guesses, the 100% truth from them. :) Image

Wish us luck

I don't know why you put a drastic decrease in power every other year. Err... you may want to revise that.
What exactly does the y-axis represent, anyway?
Whatever music you listen to probably sucks.

seriously, it drops in 97, when the CPS 2000 came out. What a random graph.

Uhhh.... Didn't the CPS 2000 come out in '96?

EDIT: Thanks for clearing that up, trekkie00. B)

^This was made by Superstormer. What, do you think it got here on its own?

I'm not sure why it drops every other yet. I also think that the first few years should be higher, there seriously are only 3 pressurized guns this year and the rest are pistons. That to me, is backwards evolution, and does not need to be put higher than guns such as the SS 100, and XP 150 of later years.

The CPS 2000 Mk. 1 came out it 1996, and the 2000 mk. 2 came out in 1997, I think.
Rereading these forums make me feel old >.<

I forgot to add axis labels. Guess I have been away from school too long. Im talking about the general power and output each model dishes out over the years, not the number of soakers. I also used the Isoaker.com stats to find the max output of each blaster of that year, and used excel to add them up and create the chart. It will be revised.

edit- got a response from Hasbro, yet another BS response like I expected. will keep emailing them.

Thank you for contacting Hasbor, Inc.

The decision to stop manufacturing a product is a marketing decision.

We appreciate your interest

edit ^^ ROFLMAO! Just noticed the typo. that is an original copy and paste from the email.

Well I think we all have gotten the basics here anyway. Super soaker Power is declining and chances are hasbro will make soakers more and more less powerful and more and more cheaply made as this seems to appeal to a wider audience(lower costs). Also the new soakers seem to go more for "shiny colors" and "cooler looks" other than being poerful reliable soakers. Hasbro always changes stuff, from board games to magic cards and thats just how its going to be.

If they become any less powerful than the current line they may as well quit making them, because you will be able to find a better squirt gun at the dollar store. The words Super Soaker have become a misnomer with the 2004 models.
