Loose washer in SC PowerPack
Yea, like described i have a loose washer in my Power Pak, causes it to not stop shooting.
Basically......
I added a washer (completely unrelated) in too quickload nozzle so it would stop spraying when "charged".
I tested it and it worked mint, fixed my problem, but then when i loaded it up again, and fired, the range was very limited, and to make things worse, it wouldn't stop firing when i released the trigger.
I found what appeared to be a plactic ring of sorts
Floating in the saturator nozzle setting (or whatever, i found it not wher it shud be). I stripped it right back as far as i could, and loaded it up, and it worked fine. However, when i put it back together, same fault, pulled it apart again, still problem.
Now to the useful bit :P
I looked down the quickload bit (with the nozzle off), and noticed a black ring floating loose in there. I got it back onto the trigger assembly eventualy and put the plastic ring on top like so.
However the whole thing comes apart again when you shoot. What I've concluded is i need to place something at the end of the trigger assembly to stop the washer and co from coming loose. This is where I am at a loss, what can I use as i am told alot of glues don't like water.

Broken SC500
Rather than starting a new thread, i'll reuse this 1. My SC500 won't hold pressure, i.e. its doing the same as my SC powerpak (with pump and speed load). I only ever used it a couple of times so really should have got it replaced under warranty, but thats history. Also I believe its a mark 1 (has the pink reservior).
I don't have any pictures as I can't get it open, so if anyone has experience opening this soaker then please leave a note.
Cheers

As far as I'm aware, super holds under water just fine, but don't get it wet while it's still drying.
Or putty epoxy which seems famous here, as it drys solid and doesn't mind water I think.
I hope this helps

careful that ur not gluing the wrong stuff though.
On my SS MDS i accidentally filled in the air intake valve because i thought it was the Pressure relief valve

Lol. I'm only planning on increasing the size of the knobby bit at the end to stop the washer coming off, for now anyway (hopefully it won't be more than that).

Welcome aboard! (And sorry for the late reply.)
See our guides on opening a water gun and diagnosing internal leaks for your second water gun. For the first, I'd try epoxy too, and putty epoxy if you need to mold a shape.

Thanks. I have been able to open the gun up, will post some pics soon. However....It looks like I might have to do some cutting, as the only leak is out the nozzle, when I'm not using the trigger!!!!.

Re: Loose washer in SC PowerPack
If it leaks from the trigger, try the repair of using a rubber band. My CPS 2000 would fire without me pulling the trigger after one shot. If that doesn't work, then glue

Thanks Croc.
I suppose I should be a bit more clear on my SC500. When you pump it up (or quick fill it), it will start firing, so you can't store pressure, if that makes sense.
[edit] I have pushed the plunger in to stop it from firing, but it keeps on going.
[edit] I lie lol, pushing in the plunger stops it from firing so you were correct CROC, its just a matter ot attaching a rubber band now .

Re: Loose washer in SC PowerPack
Got the Xp110 mostly fixed, still leaks a bit but its usable.
The SC500 (its a 500 not 600 as I may have earlier mentioned ), well the original problem is fixed, however it seems to only hold ~2 seconds of pressure and according to isoaker it should have ~7. It also leaks alot out the pump when pumping (after about 2 pumps), the using the QFD function doesn't seem to help either.
The PowerPak, well, water is making it past the washer, so my fix isn't that great.

SS XP 85 Booby trap
Tried out my old XP85 the other day, pumped it with ait and the side nozzles lifted. I cautiously filled it and pressurised it, and when i fired the water splashed back out of the side nozzles (the lifted as well). So it got me thinking, this would be a great prank gun lol, as it is more likely to soak the user than the target (i dodged the backfire btw ). I should be able to cable tie it down as a fix if i feel like it. (I really don't know why I bought one of these)

Re: Loose washer in SC PowerPack
Haha. Yeah, I guess malfunctioning guns could work as booby traps.
The XP 85 was an OK idea, but sadly poorly executed. Has anyone tried modding it? Maybe with a bit of extra power it could become a reasonable weapon. Though even against multiple targets I doubt it will be more effective than a slashing motion with a single nozzle.

I work on Windows. My toolbox is Linux.

I always considered it kinda like the SS MDS, where you could shoot round corners.
