Hello, I'm new here. I was wondering what modifications are good for the Vaporizer (2004). I'm planning on trying my first mod on it.

I've been thinking about calling that mod "System Replacement" and making the article seem more broad because you can do it to many guns other than the Vaporizer.
If you are a beginner, I would not attempt that mod. I would just drill a bigger nozzle.

How large a nozzle could the Vaporizer handle? And would putting balloons in the piston-intake-chamber increase output? Also, how difficult is it to attach a flashlight to the outside of the water gun?

the pump shaft thing won't work, that's only for cps guns. it's easy to attach a flashlight, just use duct tape. as for the nozzle, I'd say not very big because I don't believe it has a metal screen inside the nozzle to keep stream cohesion.

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

You can only K mod CPS guns, the Vaporizer is not a CPS gun. It's not even pressurized reservoir, it's pump action. That means it has no stored pressure.

Not necesarily, some pump action guns are ok, but most are bad.

Couldn't I just add a metal screen?

Yes, but even I do not know where to buy those metal screens. The straws do more for cohesion than the screen does. You couldn't drill the nozzle larger than the internal tubing, doing so would screw it up. I would get a better gun personally, when you get enough experience try my Vaporizer mod.

I've seen the screens at Lowe's hardware. They were big though, you would need like a 20X nozzle to fit them. You could just you a little sXPBackfire-esque of screen door material if you have a roll lying around. What exactly does the screen or straw do?
