I don't know much about the system I'm using now, but I know that it is a 2.1 gigahertz Athlon and a 80 gigabyte hd with Win 2000.

The only thing I know about my computer is that it's a 1999 imac with OSX operating system. Other than that, I have NO clue

if you have cable, you can get a good hardware firewall for $40 or less.

My dad got a corparate hardware firewall of eBay for about $150. He said that it would have cost about $500 dollars if it was new.

My dad has again redone my computer in my room. The one that I did most of my SSCentral work on. Now, it's probably better. Here's what I can remember about the 3 "versions" of my computer.

Version 1
Slackware Linux
266 megahertz AMD K6
10 Gig HD
XPBackfire-esque video card(can't get higher than 16 bit)
OK sound card

Version 2
Gentoo Linux
333 megahertz AMD K6
10 Gig HD
Same XPBackfire-esque video and sound as before

Version 3
Gentoo Linux
400 megahertz AMD K6(where does my dad get all these K6's?)
10 Gig HD
A much better video card
Same OK sound card

Obviously Version 3 is the one I use now, and it's the most powerful. I hope XAnim can play stuff fast now. Before I would have rather used my stinky old Power Mac 6100, because it was faster than my PC at playing mpeg movies. Kinda weird, isn't it?

I tried out XAnim, and it's almost as fast as my PM 6100. :nugget: I'm going to have to find another video player.

codemaster, if you're not gaming on that system, your money (and time overclocking) is a waste. may I suggest bf1942?

I don't game on my PC, I deal with lots of graphics. I need the ram in order to be able to keep most of my graphics open for quick edits, etc. With 1024MB DDR Ram I have enough Room to multitask with 20 images at once, which I do. It could be a waste, yes. But I don't Care.
